'Power Rangers' Movie Release Date Confirmation Call: July 2016 Freezed; Ashley Miller And Zack Stentz Scripting With Haim Saban
Lionsgate has recently officially announced the 'Power Rangers' movie release date as July 22, 2016. The movie will be the motivating factor for celebrating 20 years of continuous success of the series.
The script will be brought onto paper by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz in co-ordination with the original producer Haim Saban. Haim Saban is the one who originally created Power Rangers titled as 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie" in 1995.
In a discussion with IBN, saban stated that "Lionsgate is the perfect home for elevating our Power Rangers brand to the next level, they have the vision, marketing prowess and incredible track record in launching breakthrough hits from "The Hunger Games" to "Twilight" and "Divergent."
The 1995 American super hero film was a huge hit at the box office successfully grabbing $66 million against a $15 million budget and was distributed by 20th Century Fox.
As we all know The Power Rangers are unique in their appearances with independent colors and costumes and powers. Such as Red Ranger - group leader, Blue Ranger - geeky guy, Black Ranger - multi-talented guy, Yellow Range - cute school girl, Green And White Ranger - Villain turned hero guy. These characters became popular due to 1993 Fox Kids TV.
