Casting Crowns Offer Updates on Former Drummer Andy Williams' Health Condition
Casting Crowns' former drummer Andy Williams was severely injured in a motorcycle accident last Sunday. Currently, he is fighting for his life as he is on a ventilator with severe trauma to his body and brain. According to Casting Crowns, though Andy is still unconscious and has a long way to recovery, he has been cared and prayed for.
Andy Williams was struck by a vehicle while on his motorcycle on his way to church last week. He was "resuscitated at the scene" and rushed to Vanderbilt Emergency Department in Nashville, Tennessee. He has been placed on a "ventilator with severe trauma to his body and brain," the band disclosed.
Casting Crowns updated, "So many of you have reached out about an update on Andy. The amount of love and prayers being lifted up on Andy's behalf is so appreciated, and we do ask that you continue to lift him, his wife Kelly, their 2 boys, and the rest of their families up in prayer! He is surrounded by an amazing church family, and it's through their account that we want to point you all to for updates. You can check out Grace Chapel Fairview for the most up to date info. Thank you all for your continued prayers, love, and support! We are thankful for this community of believers that will lift up our brother and his family in this critical time!"
Andy's church, Grace Chapel Fairview has posted this update: "Last nights worship and prayer night brought an overwhelming sense of love and support. Folks were watching from India, England, Ireland and beyond. So thank you! Today the family met with the medical team and they are thankful for their insight and constant care for Andy. They are exhausting every resource to care for Andy. While receiving the medical teams opinions and evaluations of his condition the family felt a tangible peace from The Lord. Our prayer today is that the family will NOT have to make any decisions and that God would make those decisions for them."
