Alistair Begg Preaches Final Sermon as Senior Pastor of Parkside Church

After more than four decades of faithful service, Pastor Alistair Begg delivered his final sermon as Senior Pastor of Parkside Church on Sunday, June 8, 2025, marking the end of an era defined by unwavering biblical teaching, pastoral care, and gospel-centered ministry.
In a deeply moving message titled "God Is Sufficient for Every Season of Life", Begg encouraged the congregation to rest in the unchanging promises of God. Drawing from Exodus and John 14, he reminded listeners that whether in seasons of hardship or abundance, God's presence and faithfulness are constant.
"We walk by faith, not by sight," Begg preached. "God's sufficiency isn't seasonal-He's with us through the wilderness and the promised land alike."
Having served as Parkside Church's senior pastor since 1983, Begg has become one of the most trusted voices in evangelical Christianity, known for his commitment to Scripture and clarity in preaching. Under his leadership, the church grew into a thriving spiritual community and launched the international teaching ministry Truth For Life, which will remain Begg's focus moving forward.
Though retiring from pastoral leadership, Begg assured the congregation that his ministry is far from over. "I may be stepping away from this pulpit, but I'm not stepping away from the Word," he said. "Truth For Life will continue-and I will, by God's grace, keep preaching the gospel wherever I'm sent."
Parkside Church leaders expressed profound gratitude for Begg's legacy and confirmed that a prayerfully guided transition plan has been in place since his retirement announcement in 2024. Details regarding his successor will be released in the coming weeks.
