Vikings Season 3: Ragnar Lodbrok and His Norsemen Will Next Be Pillaging Paris
Vikings Season 3, History Channel's continuation of the supposed exploits of the legendary Norse hero Ragnar Lodbrok, air date is sometime in the early part of 2015. It will be comprised of ten episodes.
This summer, production on the upcoming Vikings Season 3 episodes was started. In fact, a Vikings Season 3 trailer was already shown during July's San Diego Comic-Con. However, no Vikings Season 3 episode guide has so far been released. Even the title of Vikings Season 3 Episode 1 has not been revealed.
The Vikings Season 3 cast is headed by Travis Fimmel as Ragnar Lodbrok; Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha; Clive Standen as Rollo; George Blagden as Athelstan; Jessalyn Gilsig as Siggy; Donal Logue as King Horik; Gustaf Skarsgard as Floki; Alyssa Sutherland as Princess Aslaug; Alexander Ludwig as Ragnar's son Bjorn; and Linus Roache as King Egbert of Wessex. For the next set of ten episodes, they will be joined by Jennie Jacques as Judith, Ben Robson as Kalf, Lothaire Bluteau as Emperor Charles of France, Morgane Polanski as Princess Gisla, and Kevin Durand as the mysterious Wanderer.
Some Vikings Season 3 spoilers have been revealed by series creator Michael Hirst himself. In an interview with Huffington Post, he said: ""Yeah, we're gonna attack Paris. Paris was the most extraordinary city. It was still a Roman city, and it was like nothing else on earth. We're just building that, at the moment, on the backlot. It will also be CGI. Ragnar attacked Paris with one hundred ships." Also, Ragnar's decision to spare King Horik's son Erlendur's life in Season 2 may have been ill-advised. Said Hist: "Anyway, Erlendur has been impressed by the idea of going to farm in England. And in his pocket he has a handful of mud, earth from England. When Ragnar sees him with this handful of dirt, he knows that he's thinking along the same lines, that they're connected in some way. So he spares him. But, of course, that turns out to be a terrible decision in the end."
In the United States and Canada, Vikings Season 3 release will be through the History Channel. Vikings Season 3 UK may however still air exclusively on Amazon's LoveFilm streaming video on demand service.
