Apple iOS8 Release Date and Time: Search functionality improved drastically
The tech giant Apple revealed their new upgrade of iOS 8 in June but launched it only on 17th September 2014. Though the update seems pretty much similar to its older one iOS7, there are also new and exciting features setting this new update apart.
For one, the search menu has been changed. Pictures can now be found according to their dates, albums and locations. In addition, users can record sound in conversations as well as associate music, notes, and other selected particular sounds for different contacts.
One of the latest features that have been added is the notification bar. With this, users can now reply to mail, send sms, tweet, go to Facebook, and respond to invitations directly from the notification toolbar. This means less time is needed to open individual apps. On the topside, the recent contacts pictures are shown and just a single sweep will bring the favorite contacts. This allows users to access their favorite contacts with only single tap.
Health app has been improved through a synchronize system that could keep data on one's health and fitness. This app can display the user's blood group, number of burned calories, heart beat rate, cholesterol meter, and more others. They can be directly opened from the lock screen itself, thus improving their functionality remarkably.
Aside from these, iOS8 also offers the option of Wi-Fi calling. This is an exciting feature, especially those who use Apple products exclusively, from their phones to their laptops. You can now take calls on your Mac, even if these arrive on the iPhone through this feature. This is really an exciting feature, which could boost productivity on the go.
In related news, T-mobile is perhaps the only provider who supports Wi-fi calling. Verizon has announced that it would be able to support Wi-fi calling only in mid 2015, as it needs to upgrade its technology and systems first.
