Tasha Cobbs Leonard’s TASHA Debuts at #1 Across Multiple Billboard Gospel Charts

Grammy Award-winning artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard celebrates a career-defining moment as her latest album, ASHA, debuts at #1 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums, #1 on Current Gospel Albums, and #1 on Top Christian/Gospel Albums charts.
This extraordinary success comes at a pivotal time for Tasha, who openly shared that she had considered stepping away from music. "I was literally planning to retire my music hat," Tasha reveals. "I tried to convince myself that my time had passed. But God reminded me that purpose doesn't expire. It develops. It grows. It may even sound or look different than it did in other seasons - but it's still purpose."
Overflowing with gratitude, Tasha continued, "To everyone who has supported this album-every stream, every share, every testimony, every prayer-I don't take it lightly. Your love has breathed life in ways I can't even explain. My heart is full, and my mind is blown."
A Collaborative Masterpiece
Tasha credits the success of ASHA to the incredible team who helped bring the vision to life:
-
Kenneth Leonard Jr. - Masterful production that captured every detail of Tasha's vision.
-
Sir Clark D. - Engineering and mixing that set a new standard for excellence.
-
Naomi Raine - A multifaceted collaborator who pushed Tasha to greater creative heights.
-
Kenny A. Miller - A trusted partner through every sound and season.
-
Background vocalists: Anna Lonelle, Linny Smith, Jahcee Smiles.
-
Musicians and creatives who poured their gifts into the project.
-
Motown Gospel - For championing this remarkable release, with special thanks to Walter P. J. Thomas and the entire team.
-
Management team: Joi, Vel, Clarissa, Charles, Jerome, and Jalynn - "second to NONE," says Tasha.
Continuing the Journey
With ASHA resonating powerfully across the globe, Tasha Cobbs Leonard stands as a testament that purpose truly never expires. "This is just the beginning," she affirms. "I'm excited to see what God continues to do through this music."
