Marcus Jordan’s Debut Single “I Can” Hits No. 1 on Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart

Rising gospel artist Marcus Jordan has scored a major career milestone as his debut single, "I Can," climbs to the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Gospel Airplay chart. The inspiring track, which is also the first song Jordan ever wrote, continues to resonate with listeners across the country, offering a powerful message of faith, perseverance, and encouragement.
"I Can" marks Jordan's second time at the top of a Billboard chart, following his 2023 hit "Call On The Name," which earned him national recognition. With its stirring vocals and uplifting message, "I Can" has become a breakout anthem for gospel fans and further solidifies Jordan's place as a standout voice in the genre.
A native of Houston, Texas, Marcus Jordan is a singer, songwriter, producer, and pastor. His musical journey began in childhood, nurtured by his mother who encouraged his early interest in piano and singing. He became the official musician of his church and eventually launched his gospel music career with the 2017 single "You Are Here," followed by his debut album I Will Bless the Lord in 2018.
Jordan's sophomore project, Call On The Name (2021), featured the title track that reached No. 1 on the Gospel Indicator chart and debuted at No. 3 on iTunes Christian/Gospel Albums. Most recently, he released a six-track EP titled My Life in early 2025, showcasing his versatility with soulful ballads and jazz-infused tracks.
Speaking about his latest success, Jordan said, "Reaching No. 1 with 'I Can' is not just about chart numbers-it's about impact. This song is a reminder that no matter where you start, with God and determination, you can overcome."
With a growing catalog of hits and a heart for ministry, Marcus Jordan continues to inspire audiences with his music and message. "I Can" is available on all streaming platforms.
