Darlene Zschech Celebrates As She Takes Her Final Post-Cancer Pill

Worship leader and songwriter Darlene Zschech, known for penning classics such as "Shout to the Lord" and "Worthy is the Lord," has announced that she is finally free from cancer. This morning she took her final post-cancer medicine pill!
On 11 December 2013, Darlene announced that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. During that time, Darlene and her husband Mark wrote, "On Wednesday, December 11, at a routine mammogram, the doctors discovered that I had developed breast cancer. Since then, it has been a whirlwind of appointments, scans and surgery. Thankfully though, I came home from hospital on Christmas Eve and, with the help of our wonderful team, I was able to watch our HOPE UC Christmas Eve service streamed live into our lounge room."
Before taking her final post-cancer pill, Darlene writes, "It may look like nothing to you, but this looks like an amazing new chapter for me.. as it's the last day of post breast cancer meds, and after 9 years.. my body is ready. So .. I am heading to @thesistersofhopeuc in Port Stephens this morning, with a new little spring in my step, ready for days of less pain and more strength. I am grateful beyond belief.. and thankful to God for His faithfulness on this crazy, harrowing journey of cancer. To all my sisters who are still walking through.. you are in my prayers daily.. I took my meds and Psalm 91 daily... and be encouraged today, there are better days ahead."
Her social media post has invited warm and positive responses from her fellow worship leaders.
Brooke Ligertwood: "Wow Darls. What an amazing day. Thank you God for Your faithfulness!"
Mitch Wong: "Sooo happy for you!!! God is good. Sending love."
Hannah Hobbs: "What a day!!!!!"
Israel Houghton: "God is so good. You're such a Champ Darlz."
