Hillsong Worship Introduces New Leader Mi-kaisha Rose & New Single "Never Walk Alone"

GRAMMY® Award-winning and multi-platinum-selling Hillsong Worship releases their third single "Never Walk Alone" from their forthcoming new album These Same Skies. "Never Walk Alone" follows on the heels of recently released singles "Fresh Wind" and "Hope of the Ages." This new song is written by Bethel Music's Jenn Johnson, Hannah Hobbs and Benjamin Fielding.
The team writes, "In every triumph and every failure" God is with us - guiding, comforting and protecting us. "Never Walk Alone" is a song of praise that expresses a heartfelt assurance anchored in the faithfulness of God.Our new single, "Never Walk Alone", is available everywhere. We pray that as you worship to this song, it would an anthem of remembrance, glorifying the God who goes before us and never leaves us. "Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, 'Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance.'" - Deuteronomy 31:7 (NIV)
Recorded live in California, "Never Walk Alone" features Hillsong's latest addition Mi-kaisha Rose on vocals. Mi-kaisha Masella is a proud Darumbal Murri and Tongan woman who is part of the inner city Aboriginal community of Sydney and the central Queensland Aboriginal community. Mi-kaisha is a social entrepreneur and political activist who has a national reach and is regularly featured on SBS, ABC and NITV. She frequently speaks about contemporary issues which impact young Aboriginal people.
Mi-kaisha is also a founding member of the Steering Committee for Kimberwalli at the Western Sydney Indigenous Centre of Excellence. She advocates approaches that allow young Aboriginal people to have a voice through creative expression; acknowledging that young people need different ways to express themselves, tell their stories and be heard. Mi-kaisha uses music to engage, inform and incite debate about issues affecting Indigenous people. She uses the medium of song to share strength and hope and celebrate the unbreakable, ancient connections we have with each other and with our culture.
Hillsong Worship has garnered 7 billion career streams and over 20 million career album sales to date. In 2018, the group earned its first-ever GRAMMY® for Best Contemporary Christian Music Song/Performance with "What A Beautiful Name" and has won nine GMA Dove Awards. While the GRAMMY® Award winning "What A Beautiful Name" topped the Christian Airplay charts for nine consecutive weeks and reached RIAA Platinum certification (900 million global streams), a host of others such as, "Shout to the Lord," "Who You Say I Am," "King of Kings," "Cornerstone," "Mighty To Save" and "This I Believe (The Creed)" continue to inspire, encourage and minister to millions of people around the globe.
