Lecrae Releases Bold New Single “Tell No Lie” Featuring Jackie Hill Perry

Multi-Grammy Award-winning artist Lecrae has released his powerful new single, "Tell No Lie" featuring acclaimed spoken word poet and rapper Jackie Hill Perry. The track is now available across all major streaming platforms and serves as the lead single from Lecrae's highly anticipated tenth studio album, Reconstruction, set to release on August 22, 2025.
"Tell No Lie" flips a bold sample of "Amores Como el Nuestro," famously heard in Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie," transforming it into a hard-hitting anthem about integrity and authenticity. Over dynamic production, Lecrae and Jackie Hill Perry deliver unflinching verses that challenge the façades of modern culture-calling out the lies we tell ourselves and each other to gain status, validation, or escape.
Speaking about the track, Lecrae shares:
"This isn't just music-it's a confrontation. We live in a world where truth gets twisted to fit agendas. This song is about refusing to play that game."
The single also marks a milestone for Jackie Hill Perry, whose appearance follows her official signing with Reach Records in 2024 and her return to music after a multi-year hiatus. Her verse delivers a fiery yet insightful perspective that perfectly complements Lecrae's message, showcasing the synergy between two of the most impactful voices in faith-driven hip-hop.
With "Tell No Lie," Lecrae kicks off a three-part single rollout leading up to Reconstruction, an album that promises to be one of his most personal and culturally resonant projects to date.
