Shane Boyd Launches Kickstand Entertainment

Christian music industry veteran Shane Boyd has launched Kickstand Entertainment, a full-service artist management firm specializing in faith-based talent. Initial signings to the Kickstand Entertainment roster include singer/songwriter/producer Carter Frodge, signed to Fair Trade Music Publishing, and Billboard Christian Hot AC/CHR hitmaker Joel Vaughn.
"Serving in different roles in the Christian music industry for more than two decades, I felt like it was time to put my experience-and the relationships I have built along the way-to work for artists I believe in," says Boyd, founder and president, Kickstand Entertainment. "Through Kickstand, I hope to help new artists build long-lasting ministries, as well as to assist in furthering the careers of established talent. I couldn't be happier to be starting this journey with Carter and Joel."
Michigan native and former member of Billboard-charting Everyday Sunday, Carter Frodge has performed across the country and around the world, sharing stages with Newsboys, TobyMac, Switchfoot, and Thousand Foot Krutch, among others. Frodge is signed to Fair Trade Music Publishing.
Dream recording artist Joel Vaughn has had three Billboard Christian Hot AC/CHR Top 20 singles: "Wide Awake," "As You Are," and "More Than Good Enough." His 2018 single "Pray It Up" was a Top 40 Christian hit, and garnered more than 1.5 million plays on Spotify. In addition, Vaughn's "Alive In Us" was featured on the "God's Not Dead-A Light In Darkness" soundtrack. Vaughn is a representative of ChildFund International.
Boyd has worked in various aspects of the Christian music industry for more than two decades. In the '90s, he served as sound engineer and road manager for Christian rock favorites Guardian. For 13 years, Boyd was a leading force in radio promotions for Christian rock and CHR formats. He garnered 20 #1 singles, and numerous Top 10 hits, including songs by Relient K, Family Force 5, Remedy Drive, The Wedding, House of Heroes and Everyday Sunday. Boyd promoted the first song by an independent artist to reach #1 on Christian rock charts, "Rebuild Your Love" by The Great Transparency. His label clients included Fair Trade Services, Gotee Records, Inpop Records, VSR Music Group, and Slospeak Records.
