Moto E and Moto G, Spot The Difference
Two of the best low-cost phones in the market are Motorola E and Motorola G. Even though they are priced much lower than most of their competitors, they can compete with mobile phones that sell for around US$300. It's difficult not to be impressed by Motorola's achievement with the E and G models.
Worthwhile information on Trusted Reviews Online explains the differences between the two phones.
Although both of the phones look identical, the Moto E is a slightly smaller phone: the thickness of the Moto E is 12.3 mm, while the Moto G is 11.6 mm thick. The finishes of the two models are also slightly different: the Moto G's superior finish features a pure black front that looks quite savvy in comparison to the Moto E.
In terms of storage, the Moto G wins, with at least 8 GB of storage, while the Moto E only offers 4 GB of storage. If you are into 3D gaming, the smaller capacity of the Moto E can become a little annoying, but a memory card slot for additional storage is included.
IBT also offers insights on the difference between the Moto E and the Moto G's screen, software, CPU and overall performance. As for the screen, the Moto E has a smaller screen with a slightly lower screen resolution as compared to the Moto G. The slightly more expensive Moto G has a 4.5 inch screen at 720 pixels, quite competitive actually.
The software of both phones is good enough for its low price. The Moto G has the Android 4.4 Snapdragon 400, quad core 1.2 GHz while the Moto E has Android 4.4 Snapdragon 200 dual core 1.2 GHz. There is very little difference between the software of the 2 phones.
Motorola gave their word to their beloved consumers that they will update to the next major software version of Android. Both of the software used by the Moto E and Moto G are based on the Cortex - A7 architecture.
However, the Moto G does have four of the 1.2 GHz cores, while the Moto E only has two of the 1.2 GHz cores. If you will be loading more stuff in your phone, then you will see the difference between the dual core and the quad core's speed.
