'The Fault in Our Stars': Falling in Love with No Boundaries
"Love knows no boundaries" - this is one of the primary themes of the movie hit, "The Fault in Our Stars," which was based on the number-one bestselling novel authored by John Green that explores the enjoyment, fun, thrill as well as the tragic reality of being in love. The movie hit the silver screen with a bang, as a lot of moviegoers and book fans come together to witness another unique love story by Josh Boone. Those who have read the book come on theaters to know how the characters were presented and see the wonderful twists made in the film.
"The Fault in Our Stars" is about two teenagers, Hazel and Gus who share a love that sweeps them on a different journey. Hazel Grace Lancaster has struggled and fought thyroid cancer at the age of sixteen and Augustus who is living a cancer-free life after the doctors amputated his right leg. They met in a support group until a romantic relationship developed.
The movie has a moving and authentic story of life within the shadow of death. The movie stars, Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley are amazing in portraying the unique characters of the story. "The Fault in Our Stars" film has a wonderful casting, as Elgort and Woodley have wonderful chemistry that's greatly important for such story. A powerful cast of supporting players join these great movie stars that include film veterans Sam Trammel and Laura Dern, Mike Birbiglia, Peter Van Houton, Willem Dafoe and many others.
"The Fault in Our Stars" film runs 125 minutes. It is also rated PG-13 due to its thematic elements, a brief strong language and some sexuality.
The movie was released in the United States on June 6, 2014 and according to reports, the movie obtained a positive reception from film critics. It even attained the number one spot at the box office in its opening week. With a total gross of over $300 million dollars worldwide, as Deadline reported, there is no doubt to say that the movie was really a great success. Such popularity of the movie can actually be attributed to a good social media.
