Dave Barnes New Album 'Golden Days' Releases Jan 28, 2014
GRAMMY® and CMA award-nominated singer/songwriter, Dave Barnes, is set to release his new album Golden Days Tuesday, Jan 29th.
This will be his eighth studio album and released on 50 Year Plan Records. Barnes co-produced the great album of intricate pop songs of Golden Days with multi-GRAMMY nominated Ed Cash.
Barnes shares about the nostalgia and reality of what it means to be a traveling musician, and those reflections have become the life and breath of Golden Days. "It kind of tells a story of beginning something, where you are now and, as the season changes, the things you look back on," he shares. "I've tried as I've gotten older to make records like they're chapters in a book, to try to really capture what I'm thinking about in that season," he explains. "This record, to me, is probably one of the most interesting subject-wise. It's a bit retrospective."
Barnes received GRAMMY® and CMA nominations for Blake Shelton's cut of his song "God Gave Me You" helping him reach a whole new audience and gain even more respect in the music community as a songwriter. He has been an important part of the Nashville music scene and leading a new generation of songwriters for the past decade.
He released his second Christmas collection in the Fall of 2013 titled, A December To Remember. As a songwriter, Barnes has both written and co-written songs for Blake Shelton, Marc Broussard, Bebo Norman, Matt Wertz, Andrew Ripp, Billy Currington, Tim Mcgraw, Danielle Bradbery ("The Voice" NBC Winner, Season 4) and many other singers.
