The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 'Gapgate': Latest News and updates about the problem plaguing Samsung, after iPhone 6 Bendgate saga!
Samsung has adorned the market with their newest instalments where Galaxy Note 4 is one of the most highly anticipated projects. The phablet came with lots of promises to keep among the fans as the previous version made huge impact in the phablet world. The phenomenal Galaxy Note series has a very rich reputation for providing quality performance and design. But since the Gapgate issue came to light, the users have been a little worried.
The retail price for Galaxy Note 4 is around $825 without contract, which is pretty high. Basically fans don't expect any faulty issue from a device at that range. But Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is accused of bearing wide gap in the side metallic rim. The Note 4 design is impressive with a stunning look. The device offers premium metal frame design with a fluid curvature and soft textured back cover to maintain superior grip and durability. But a video has recently been demonstrated regarding the Gapgate issue, which raises the question of Note 4 durability and design. The video showed the gap is so wide that piece of paper can easily slip through it.
The same group who enlightened the world about the iPhone 6 bend issue has detected the Gapgate problem. According to Geeknotes website other smartphones having glass panels also have the same gap problem. Big names like LG G3 and Nexus 5 has been also listed for having the problem.
According to Newsweek Magazine this problem might allow to pass water and dust, which will eventually lead to damaging the Note 4 completely. Though Samsung has responded with a statement where it was declared that the gap is not a big issue. They claimed that the gap does not impact on the performance and overall functionality of the phone but the issue haunts fans mind. The company assured that the phone passed strong quality control and manufacturing tests. Therefore, this type of problem won't be a big deal to get tensed at all.
The Note 4 has not seen the light of sale but issue like this really carries a big deal for the company reputation. The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to go on sale from October 17 but an issue like this will surely affect the sale volume if Samsung does not take any immediate steps to cover the problem.
