Supergirl on TV: Supergirl Is Not Going To Happen On TV
There are quite a number of superhero films out there that started from Marvel or DC comic books. But not a lot of them have made it on TV. This year however is a breakthrough to those superhero characters because shows like The Flash and Arrow are now airing and are even becoming a hit. Speculations about the TV release of Supergirl not being possible have made some really huge rumors online. But CW just made a statement that they are serious in making it possible.
There are critics saying that superhero stories are not exactly for small screens but the network would want to prove that wrong. So after all the reports saying that Supergirl is not going to happen on TV, CW assured everyone that they are pursuing it and whether you like it or not; it is going to on your TV screens soon. Greg Berlanti is the one responsible for the development of the show. He is the same guy who worked behind Arrow and The Flash. He will also team up with Ali Adler who has developed the show Chuck. Lots of people thought that Michael Green would also be involved here as he have made such good impression on his work with Smallville and The Green Lantern but unfortunately, he won't have any part in this.
Ali Adler will write on Supergirl, as Berlanti will be the executive producer for it. On the other hand, the CW is really looking good on airing it since it has already generated a good amount of fan base from their shows. It won't be too hard for them to gather them once again for Supergirl. Since this is not the first time Berlanti has worked on a superhero series, the show would be a walk in the park for her. With all the talents who are going to work for this series, it could definitely become an instant in any TV network that will decide to air it.
No news on the release date and cast about the show yet, but as of the moment; all we have is an assurance that it is going to push through.
