Windows 10 Preview, Download, Release Date And Features: The Upcoming Windows 10 Will Be Designed To Work On All Form Factors, This Means That It Can Work On Tablets, Laptops And Smartphones
We have the latest for you on the preview, download, release date and features of Windows 10. Contrary to what many had expected, the next version of Windows will not be Windows 9, but Windows 10. Microsoft's Terry Myerson just announced this.
The upcoming Windows 10 will be designed to work on all form factors, this means that it can work on tablets, laptops and smartphones. It is billed as one medium for all platforms. It will also come with one universal Appstore for all devices. This also means that windows 10 will be the next iteration of Windows Phone too. Microsoft will be launching its 'insider' program from Wednesday and it will let people test the technical preview of Windows 10. A consumer preview version of Windows 10 will be out early next year, and the official build of Windows 10 will be out later in the year, maybe mid-2015.
Enterprises will be getting an early look of the new Windows 10 meaning that large companies can even start using it before it is launched. IT managers will be able to manage all types of Windows 10 devices and they can even customize the Appstore so that the employees will only use the apps that have been approved by the company. For the features, Windows 10 will come with a classic-looking desktop which will be there to please the fans who miss Windows 7. This means that there will be a start up menu but it will be quite different from the one we are used to.
Microsoft is adding a new feature known as the Continuum which allows the operating system to adapt to the kind of machine you are using. The Windows 8 apps which were initially designed for touch will now be available for mouse and keyboard. And the apps will run on the desktop. The new version of Windows is designed for better multi-tasking as a new 'task view' button helps you to navigate through the tabs quite easily. Also, with Windows 10, you will be able to snap multiple apps alongside one another. Based on the Microsoft demo, it seems that you can snap more apps with the new Windows version than you could with the previous versions.
It is important to keep in mind that it is a very early version of Windows 10; hence the features may be subject to change before the final software version becomes available. Stay with us for more news on this and much more.
