Alan Jackson Celebrates 25 Year in Music with "Let It Be Christmas"

Twenty five years ago, Alan Jackson burst onto the music scene with "Blue Blooded Woman." Then he has gone to chart with twenty-six Number One hits. Of these, two have been listed by Billboard as the Number One song of the year on the Billboard Year-End charts: "Don't Rock the Jukebox" in 1991 and "Chattahoochee" in 1993. His longest-lasting Number One country hit and biggest pop hit is "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere", a duet with Jimmy Buffett, which spent eight non-consecutive weeks at Number One in 2003 and peaked at number 17 on the pop charts.
"You know, I used to think if you could have a hit or two and your career lasts three or four years, you're very lucky. I never thought I'd have a career that lasts 25 years and is still goin' - I didn't imagine all this could happen," Jackson says of the honor. "I hope my fans are enjoying the exhibit, and I hope they'll enjoy these two special shows we're goin' to do for 'em."
In celebrating this milestone, Alan Jackson together with EMI Records will be re-releasing his 2002's "Let It Be Christmas." Originally released under the now dysfunction Arista Nashville Records, the album peaked at #27 on the U.S. Billboard 200, and at #6 on the Top Country Albums. In January 2003, Let It Be Christmas was certified Gold by the RIAA. Though there will be no new tracks on the re-release project, it will feature a new packaging look.
