'Criminal Minds' Season 10 Spoilers: Something Big will Happen this Season
'Criminal Minds' is a TV show known to change character lineups every season. It is therefore not a surprise for any of the fans should they see new members or other characters missing. That is just the way the show goes. For the upcoming season, fans can expect to see Jennifer Love Hewitt, who will be playing the role of Kate Callahan, in the show. She will replace Jeanne Templehorn, who left the show at the end of season 9. Air Herald reports the lineup of the upcoming season to be: Shemar Moore, playing Derek Morgan; Thomas Gibson portraying Aaron Hotchner; AJ Cook as JJ; Joe Mantega as David Rossi, Mathew Gray Gubler as Dr. Spencer Reid; Kirsten Vangsness as Penelope Garcia.
Other than Jennifer Love Hewitt appearing as a regular in the show, we will also be treated with a show where the UnSub will be a female. According to TVLine, this new villain will begin her modus from episode 9 onwards. She will be described as very striking, fulfilled, career woman who is emotional, impulsive and prone to fits of rage. This kind of character is a welcome respite from the common male villains that we normally see. Over the years, in all the hundreds of unsubs that the show has portrayed, there only an average of 30 females. Having one at this time is something to look forward to.
Executive Producer Erica Messer also took to TVGuide to confirm that a long-time villain will be joining the show. This means that aside from the cases that the BAU will be handling, a bigger one is also ongoing, giving the show a clearer focus. Of course the identity of the villain was not confirmed.
AJ Cook also hinted that something might happen in this new season. Tenth season is a milestone. What better way to celebrate that with something big happening. Cook further added that this season can be a rollercoaster ride. There are just so many things that fans could be excited about with this upcoming season.
'Criminal Minds' season 10 will hit the TV on October 1.
