Joining the ranks of mobile companies announcing their latest devices in the market today, Meizu also introduced its newest, high-end smartphone; the Meizu MX4. This new phone packs an amazing set of specs that would make any smartphone avid user droll. The best part is that it also comes at such an affordable price tag.
The smartphone boasts of a wide 1152 x 1920 pixels, 5.36 inches, IPS LCD touchscreen with 16M colors. It is also screen protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. As far as sound and notification functions are concerned, the phone carries both vibration and mp3 ringtones.
This phone runs in Android OS v4.4.4 (KitKat), with a Quad-Core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A17 and Quad-Core 1.7 GHz Cortex A-7 processors. Internal memory varies from 16/32/64 GB with a 2GB RAM.
Given these specifications, it is amazing that the Meizu MX4 only has a quoted price of $449 for the 16GB model and $489 for the 32GB model. The 64GB model's price and availability outside of China remains unconfirmed as of today. In view of the phone specs and their respected price tags, this smartphone can easily be a very good alternative to the high-end Android phone brands.
As of today, the Meizu MX4 is now offered through pre-booking but users all over the world have been reportedly very positive in their reception of this device. According to Bai Yongxiang, CEO of Meizu, pre-order for the MX4 has now reached 7.7 million. This is an amazing number considering that the brand is not that famous outside of China.
