'Exodus: Gods and Kings' Update: Trailer, Release Date, and Spoilers
Every year is exciting in terms of new movie releases but next year seems to be extra promising. Even if we will have to wait till the end of the year for giants like Exodus, Hobbit 3, and Avengers, this does not stop us from talking about these amazing releases.
Exodus: God and Kings is an adaptation of the Book of Exodus and portrays the story of Moses, Egypt, and of course, God. The drama unfolds on December 12 next year in the USA.
Exodus: God and Kings is definitely special in many ways. However, we are most excited to see one of the most talented artists of our time Christian Bale doing something incredibly different. Bale plays the role of Moses, Joel Edgerton is Rhamses, and Ben Kingsley is the Nun. According to recent spoiler updates, the storyline is just like the Old Testament's Book of Exodus wherein Moses is commanded by God to go against the very Egyptian empire that raises him.
Director Ridley Scott is excited to have finally come up with a story set in the past with such historical and religious value. In fact, he has worked hard with writers Steven Zaillian and Bill Collage to keep the plot as accurate as possible.
The film has already created both negative and positive buzz. Some people are not happy with white actors playing the roles of Egyptians and Israelites. They are even planning to boycott the movie in protest.
