"When Calls the Heart" - A Hallmark Original Movie

Hallmark - When Callts the Heart
The Hallmark Channel Original Movie, "When Calls the Heart" will premier on Saturday, October 19. Based on Janette Oke's bestselling Canadian West book series, and delivering an all star cast, "When Calls the Heart" is the story of Elizabeth Thatcher. Elizabeth is a young teacher from a well to do family who is accustomed to living a refined, high society life. When she receives her first teaching assignment in a small 19th century coal town in the western frontier that is led by two strong coal miner widows, Abigail Stanton and Frances Tunnecliffe, Elizabeth will have to learn the ways of the untamed frontier in order to survive.
"When Calls the Heart" is a forerunner to the next Hallmark Channel Original Primetime Series and features three-time Emmy Award-winner Jean Smart ("Designing Women"), Lori Loughlin ("Full House" and "90210"), Maggie Grace ("Taken 2"), Stephen Amell ("Arrow"), Daniel Sharman ("Teen Wolf") and newcomer Poppy Drayton.
Lori Loughlin will continue her role in the series along with Erin Krakow ("Army Wives," "Castle") and Daniel Lissing ("Last Resort") who round out the cast of the series set to premiere January 2014.
Janette Oke's "Love Comes Softly" Marathon on Saturday, October 19 leads into the World Premiere of "When Calls the Heart" at 9pm ET/PT, 8C.
- "Love Takes Wing" 11am - 1pm
- "Love Finds a Home" 1pm - 3pm
- "Love Begins" 3pm - 5pm
- "Love's Everlasting Courage" 5pm - 7pm
- "Love Comes Softly" 7pm - 9pm
A movie that will draw you in and keep you there, you will find yourself chuckling as poor Elizabeth learns some lessons the hard way. Heart-warming, full of integrity and family values and absolutely perfect for family viewing, this is one you will definitely want to see.
