Tyler Perry has once again made history as his latest original series "If loving you is wrong," after it premiered on September 9^th. The show netted 1.93 million viewers, making it the networks most watched series.

A press release revealed that the premiere episode delivered a 1.47 rating in the key W25-54(women 25 to 54 years old) which came close to Perry's 2013 may debut of "the Haves and the Have Nots" at 1.77 million viewers. The episode which aired at 10.pm delivered 1.93 million viewers and 1.48 ratings in W25-54 which made it the second highest W25-52 rating in the time period of OWN network history. It delivered a triple digit growth in the key W25-52 demo up + 185% vs. one year ago. "If loving you is Wrong" on that day was trending all over on social media, on Twitter in the US both episodes ranked in the top most social programs on cable and in top 10 on all of television.

The TV drama follows the lives of a group of husbands, wives and friends who live and love in a neighborhood surrounded by a lot of drama as they try and maneuver through the romance and heartbreaks. Just below the veneer of happiness, their lives are entangled by heartbreak, deceit and lies that threaten to destroy everything. The drama stars are, Amanda Clayton, Edwina Findley, Heather Hemmens and Zulay Henao.

Tyler perry in the June issue of ESSENCE magazine opened up and explained how he and Oprah Winery strike a balance between their friendship and business. Perry is a Hollywood 'titan' with a string of successful OWN-scripted sitcoms. "The most important thing about coming together was making sure we would not lose our friendship because of business, we had to establish ground rules. The main one: both of us have to continue to live in our truth. If she doesn't like something, say it. If I don't like something, I'll say it. And we'll figure it out and keep moving on..," Tyler perry said.
