Kirk Cameron's 'Unstoppable'

Kirk Cameron - Unstoppable
One week ago today, Kirk Cameron's film, Unstoppable, had a one-night only showing in 700 theaters in the U.S. The film asked the age-old question: "Where is God in the midst of tragedy and suffering?" and followed Kirk as he traveled the country in search of the answer.
Despite the fact that initially, both Facebook and Youtube blocked the movie's trailer from their sites, labeling it "unsafe" and "abusive," (a decision that was reversed after over 500,000 of Cameron's fan rallied behind the project), over 150,000 tickets were sold bringing in an estimated $2 million at the box office (unaudited numbers via Rentrak). This figure made the film first or second for Tuesday night in the rankings as it was neck and neck with the Hugh Jackman/Jake Gyllenhaal film Prisoners, which brought in an estmated $2.1 million.
Since several theaters sold out of seats, the decision was made to have a second showing on Thursday, October 3, at 7 p.m. local time in more than 660 movie theaters in across the country. (Find the list of participating theaters here.)
Cameron calls Unstoppable his “most personal” faith project to date as he invites audiences to join him as he takes a powerful, visual journey to prove (to himself above all others) that life is stronger than death, good is stronger than evil and faith is stronger than doubt.
