Mission Impossible 5 Release Date, News and Rumors: Prometheus Star in Talks to play the Villain
Deadline reports that British actor Sean Harris is being courted by Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions to play the role of the villain for Mission: Impossible 5.
Sean Harris' most notable works include The Borgias, 24 Hour Party, the Red Riding Trilogy, and Ridley Scott's Prometheus where he played crew member Fifield. It has become quite noticeable that Hollywood has had an obsession with having British villains, like in Star Strek Into Darkness where Benedict Cumberbatch portrayed the Khan Noonien Singh and in Marvel's cinematic Universe where Tom Hiddleston plays the god of mischief, Loki. Sean Harris might just be added to the list of Brits to be part of the villains of Hollywood, and by just the way he looks alone, he does have an intimidating aura around him and the same goes for his intense face. He has also been known to practice method acting.
Mission: Impossible 5 is being directed by Christopher McQuarrie with a script written by Drew Pearce, and is being produced by Bad Robot, Skydance, and Cruise/Wagner Productions and will be distributed by Paramount pictures. The film started filming back in August and will have Tom Cruise returning as Ethan Hunt. The film will also star returning actors Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner and Ving Rhames, while newcomers Alec Baldwin and Rebecca Ferguson have also joined the cast. Nothing much is known about the film but filming locations include Vienna, Austria and Rabat, Morocco. Mission: Impossible 5 is scheduled to be released on December 25, 2015.
