Minecraft Xbox One Edition News, Release Date, Price And Rumors: Minecraft Xbox One Edition Available For Download This Week As Gamers' Downloaded Minecraft Content Will Be Free On The Xbox One
We have the latest for you on the news, release date, price and rumors of Minecraft Xbox One Edition. Starting this Friday, gamers will be able to dive into the virtual world of Minecraft. The Minecraft Xbox One Edition will be available for download on 5th September. This was announced by Microsoft's Xbox Wire on Tuesday. The new game will cost the players $19.99. Those who own the Xbox 360 Edition will pay $4.99 to upgrade. Any content which the gamers have downloaded for Minecraft will be available on the Xbox One for free.
The game is created by an indie gaming developer Mojang. Minecraft places you in a Lego-like land composed of blocks. As you go through this blocky sandbox, you can create buildings, machines, fauna, flora and other items which will help you design your world. Along the way, you will also have to fend off monsters and other enemies. However, Minecraft is more open-ended than most games and due to this it has been touted as a learning environment for kids. It can be very addictive.
According to Microsoft, Minecraft has earned more than 13 million fans on Xbox Live. This means that there could be a healthy audience of Xbox One users who are waiting to buy the game once it is released. Microsoft is at least counting on that as a way to help them increase the sales of the game. Minecraft Xbox One Edition will be available for download from the Xbox Store on Friday via credit card or Xbox gift card. Later in the month, select retailers will start selling the digital download code and the full package also, according to Microsoft.
While Microsoft may have announced it first, the Sony fans will get the current-gen Minecraft sooner. A post on the PS blog suggests that the game will hit the Playstation Store this Thursday "before 12 pm Pacific" and that the PlayStation owners will get the same $5 upgrade deal as those purchasing on Xbox One. Should you be purchasing it from the EU PlayStation store, you don't have to wait at all; you can download it right now as it is available. Stay with us for more information about the game and much more.
