The upcoming movie Seventh Son has released a new trailer teaser, which you can check out above. The film stars Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore and Jeff Bridges. 

Seventh Son is a fantasy film loosely based on the novel The Spook's Apprentice (titled The Last Apprentice: Revenge of the Witch in America). The story centers around Tom Ward, a seventh son of a seventh son, and his adventures as the apprentice of the Spook. 

The film's official summary: In a time long past, an evil is about to be unleashed that will reignite the war between the forces of the supernatural and humankind once more. Master Gregory is a knight who had imprisoned the malevolently powerful witch, Mother Malkin, centuries ago. But now she has escaped and is seeking vengeance. Summoning her followers of every incarnation, Mother Malkin is preparing to unleash her terrible wrath on an unsuspecting world. Only one thing stands in her way: Master Gregory. In a deadly reunion, Gregory comes face to face with the evil he always feared would someday return. Now he has only until the next full moon to do what usually takes years: train his new apprentice, Tom Ward to fight a dark magic unlike any other. Man's only hope lies in the seventh son of a seventh son.

In a time of enchantments when legends and magic collide, the sole remaining warrior of a mystical order (Jeff Bridges) travels to find a prophesized hero born with incredible powers, the last Seventh Son (Barnes).

Torn from his quiet life as a farmhand, the unlikely young hero embarks on a daring adventure with his battle-hardened mentor to vanquish a dark queen (Julianne Moore) and the army of supernatural assassins she has dispatched against their kingdom.

Seventh Son is scheduled to be released in 3-D and IMAX 3D on February 6, 2015.

The movie is directed by Sergey Bodrov and written by Joseph Delaney (book), Matt Greenberg (previous screenplay).
