The Order 1886 Game Release Date, Gameplay, News, and Updates: New trailer Features Weapons
The Order 1886 is set in an alternate history London when science has advanced farther than it normally has in our current timeline. An order of knights keep the world safe from half breeds, who are a combination of man and beast. We are introduced to the four protagonists of the game, Sebastian Mallory, Grayson, Sir Galahad, and Isabeau D'Argyll. Along with their apprentice, Marquis de Lafayette, they must continue to protect the people from these half-breeds and restore order to the revolting lower-class of the society.
The Order 1886 was officially announced back at the Electronic Entertainment Expo back in 2013 as an exclusive game for the PlayStation 4, and has been met with much anticipation from gamers. The game is being developed by Ready at Dawn and SCE Santa Monica Studio.
In the latest trailer released at the Gamescom event, we are shown more of the weaponry and artillery that can be used by players throughout the game. Most of the weapons are taken from real weapon designs during the period but also combines elements of advanced high technology. Fictionalized history it may be, but you have to admit that the concept is really cool. The latest trailer also featured a real historical figure in the science community; Nikola Tesla. Tesla is widely known in pop culture as the archetype of a "mad scientist," and also known to have worked with Thomas Edison, which eventually led to their rivalry. In the game, he is revealed to be the one behind the weaponry in the game, thus giving the advanced technology in that time period a sense of credibility.
The Order 1886 is scheduled to be released on February 20, 2015 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
