Mad Max Fury Road Trailer, Cast, Plot And Mel Gibson News: Mel Gibson's String Of Scandals Leave Director, George Miller, Heartbroken As He Picks A Younger Actor For New Trilogy Plans
We have the latest for you on the trailer, cast, plot and Mel Gibson's news concerning the Mad Max Fury Road movie. Mel Gibson's scandals over the years have left George Miller, the "Mad Max" director, heartbroken. There are also said plans for a new trilogy which prompted the director to pick a younger actor to revisit the post-apocalyptic auto action franchise.
The Australian director, George Miller, helped to launch Gibson to stardom three decades ago in the trilogy featuring intense car chases, a bleach blonde Tina Turner and stark desert landscapes. Miller had hoped to bring a fourth film playing the role of Max Rockatansky. There have been a series of delays that led to recasting, and Tom Hardy, who is 36, stepped in Mel Gibson's place.
Miller was engaged in a recent interview and he said, "I have a great affection for Mel. I was really heartbroken to see him go into that. But it's a new time. I hope Mel gets to act in more movies because I think he is a wonderful actor. But I think he's an amazingly good director."
Miller describes the "Mad Max: Fury Road" as an extended chase that takes place in 3 days. He also added that it will be due out next summer. The movie also stars Charlize Theron and it features minimal dialogue. Miller said, "You're picking up the characters and the backstory as you go. And in order to create that story, we found ourselves having written two other screenplays. One of them is completed. The other one is in the form of unedited novel. So by the time we got there, we realized we've got a couple more Mad Max stories to tell, and that...required us to cast someone who was younger."
The first footage from Mad Max: Fury Road was first showed by Miller in the recent Comic-Con fest which was held in San Diego. Miller is still finishing working on the movie and his return to live action after directing the animated Happy Feet in 2006 and the sequel in 2011. The trailer has been online for quite some time giving the fans an idea of what to expect from the movie. Much has been said about the new movie and it is set to roll the theatres next May, 2015. All we have to do is wait until it hits the theatres and see the real deal.
