Everything We Know About Josiah Queen’s Upcoming Album "Mt. Zion"

Breakout Christian artist Josiah Queen is set to release his highly anticipated sophomore album, Mt. Zion, on August 22, 2025 through Capitol Christian Music Group, F&L Music Group, and Josiah Queen Music. The follow-up to his chart-topping debut The Prodigal (2024), which soared to No. 1 on Billboard's Top Christian Albums chart, Mt. Zion showcases Queen's signature blend of heartfelt storytelling, faith-filled lyrics, and modern worship influences.
Produced by John Michael Howell, Zac Lawson, Jacob Sooter, Hank Bentley, and Queen himself, the project features 12 new songs, including standout collaborations with some of today's most impactful worship leaders:
-
Brandon Lake on the anthemic "Can't Steal My Joy"
-
Benjamin William Hastings on a fresh rendition of "I'll Fly Away"
-
Gable Price on the intimate "Thief in the Night"
Fans have already embraced several early singles, including "Yesterday Is Dead", "Two Wooden Beams", "Dusty Bibles", and "Cloud and Fire", with the latest release "I'll Fly Away (feat. Benjamin William Hastings)" arriving August 8 alongside a lyric video.
To celebrate the release, Queen has announced two special album launch concerts where he will perform the entire tracklist live for the first time:
-
October 27 - Ryman Auditorium, Nashville, TN
-
November 1 - Yuengling Center, Tampa, FL
"Mt. Zion is about renewal, faith, and the journey of walking with God through both mountaintops and valleys," Queen shared. "My hope is that these songs remind people that even in their dustiest seasons, God's presence is near, steady, and unshakable."
With over 500 million streams to date, a growing global fanbase, and a Dove Award nomination under his belt, Josiah Queen continues to emerge as one of Christian music's most compelling new voices.
Mt. Zion will be available August 22 on all streaming platforms, digital download, CD, and vinyl.
