The Rock Music Delivers One of their Most Personal Singles,“Loved Me At My Worst”

Proclaiming God's love from the heart of Utah to the ends of the earth for two decades, acclaimed worshippers The Rock Music deliver one of their most personal and poignant singles to date, "Loved Me At My Worst." A balm of grace for the troubled soul, the track was penned by group members Steele Croswhite, Caleb Yetton and Thomas Scribner in collaboration with Walter Halliwell, and was produced by Joel Pack and Jordan Clark.
"Loved Me At My Worst" uproots seeds of shame and despair sowed in waywardness, steadfastly declaring devotion to an all-powerful, all-merciful God: "Jesus, I can't hide from You/I don't know why I'd want to/'Cause You loved me at my worst."
"It's very easy for me to sink into a pattern of insecurity, self-doubt and even shame over sin and personal failure, but the single most motivating and life-changing characteristic of God in my own life is His love," shares The Rock Music founder and leader Steele Croswhite. "Romans 5:8 states, '...While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.' It gives me tremendous hope to know that He loves me at my worst, and in fact lavishes His love upon me in that moment. It's a powerful reminder that I don't need to run from God, but towards Him."
"When we're honest and real with each other, we see that others often feel the same way we do," adds The Rock Music's Caleb Yetton. "This perspective has been huge in my own life, specifically in my brotherhood with Steele. We remind each other of the truth of the Gospel and that the feelings we might have of condemnation are never from our Lord."
A collective of Spirit-led, Christ-centered worshippers birthed from The Rock Church near Salt Lake City, The Rock Music's foundational mission is artfully articulated in "Loved Me At My Worst." "Here in Utah, there is such a hunger and thirst for the mercy and grace of Jesus," Croswhite explains. "We want our Latter-day Saints and Mormon neighbors to know and receive the gift of His full saving grace. Shame has gripped so many, and people are striving to earn their salvation from a works-based platform. Even in our congregation many have come from this background, so hearing God's truth on repeat is essential for us all."
"God's grace is worth singing about," Yetton concludes. "It's how we are saved and how we are sustained. God sees what I have done and the motives of my heart, yet He has still poured out His love on me. I don't have to run from Him because He has already shown me His love at my worst, and I want to love others like that as well."
