Shai Linne to Release Children's Book "Penelope Judd" Book on May 20th

Recording artist and author Shai Linne will release his lyrical story based on his hit song "Penelope Judd" next month (B&H Publishing / B&H Kids). Linne's song, "Penelope Judd," was written in 2008 as his first children's song. It quickly became one of his most popular songs to date, and a perfect song to be adapted into a book. Penelope Judd is now available for pre-order here.
This book follows a young girl living in a very messy land filled with only children who are not kind, constant fighting, and a general atmosphere of sadness and dirtiness. Penelope feels hopeless, but one day she receives a special message that changes everything. This lyrical story helps kids see that, like Penelope, people live in a broken, messy, sinful world. But long ago, a Prince left His perfect home in heaven to come to earth, where sin and death are everywhere. The words in this book follow the song's lyrics, allowing kids to read and listen simultaneously.
"I believe there are two reasons this song connected with listeners - First, many people can relate to not feeling quite at home in this dark world, where sin is rampant. Second, the story conveys the gospel hope of seeing our Redeemer face-to-face and being fully cleansed from the defilement of sin," shares Shai Linne. "Penelope Judd reminds us of Jesus' precious promise to 'present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless ' (Eph. 5:27). I'm thrilled to share this book with the adults who were children when they first heard this song, and grateful for the opportunity to share this timeless gospel truth with a new generation."
This book will be available everywhere on May 20th. This hardcover picture book is intended for children aged 4-8 years old (ISBN: 979-8384508533).
