Google Nexus 6 Motorola Release Date, Specs, Features And Rumors: Could Motorola Have Been Awarded The Honor Of Manufacturing The Nexus 6
There are a lot of rumors going round on the release date, specs, and features of the upcoming Google Nexus 6. It has been speculated that Motorola has been awarded the honor of manufacturing the new LG Nexus replacement which is now referred to by the codename 'Shamu'. It has been said that the new Nexus 6 will be a massive device which has a screen almost as a tablet at 5.9-inch. Details about the Nexus 6 are not out but there is an assumption that it will be the first smartphone ever to show off the functional enhancements that Google has been cooking up with the coming soon Android L. The Android world is excited as this time round, it will be coming from Android Central, which claims that the next mobile phone from Motorola is the XT 1096. It's said that if the same kit would turn out as the Moto Hero phone this 2014, then XT 1096 is likely the Moto X+1 that Motorola said will begin to wow in the late September or August.
It is speculated that if that is the case, then X+1 is the strongest candidate to become Motorola Shamu base-model. This is exactly what happened with the Nexus 4, which was an offshoot to the LG Optimus G, and the Nexus 5's existence is attributed to the LG G2. It was anticipated that the Nexus 6 would have been moulded after the LG G3 but it appears that LG is out of the Nexus project and Motorola has taken over. It is expected that the Motorola XT 1096 will be released as late as September this year.
According to a report by 9to5Google, as of August 6, the GS4 with native Android inside is no longer visible from the play store. The report said, "Google has removed the Galaxy S4 Google play edition from the store without any replacement in sight." With this removal, only Moto G GPe and the HTC One M8 GPe, remain as the only Google Play smartphones, and it will not be surprising at all that the devices will also vanish into thin air soon.
There has been a change of events with the Nexus 6 and we'll have to wait and see how it goes. The release date is also not far anyway expected to be at the end of 2014.
