He initially formed the Berean Band with high school friends, and later performed under the stage name World Behind. However, it wasn't until he embraced a solo acoustic style that he felt he had truly found his niche, leading to the establishment of his current musical identity.

In 2025, Starks plans to release a full-length album titled "Always Hope," scheduled for January 10th.
