The Nelons' Final Album, "Loving You," Recorded Just Before Fatal Plane Accident, Arrives Aug. 30

Daywind Music Group has announced the upcoming release of Loving You, the final album by one of America's most cherished Gospel music families, The Nelons. The project, completed shortly before the tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of Jason & Kelly Nelon Clark and Amber Nelon Kistler, will be released on August 30, 2024. Pre-orders are now available at Daywind.com.
Autumn Nelon Streetman, the youngest daughter of Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, shared a heartfelt message expressing their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
"Right before all of this happened, my family and I had just completed a brand new album that was already supposed to be released at the end of this month," said Autumn. "I had no idea how big of an impact this album would have on my life, especially with what I'm walking through now. The project Loving You is set to release on August 30, and it's available for pre-order now at Daywind.com."
Autumn shared a poignant reflection on one of the album's songs, 'The Hand of an Unseen God.'
"There's a lyric that says, 'In my weeping and rejoicing, when my world is good or when it falls apart, I'm held by the hand of an unseen God,' and I had no idea that I would be walking through those lyrics right now," she said. "One of the last songs my mom ever recorded is We've Always Had a Song, and I believe this album was made for a time just like this. We will always have a song."
Ed Leonard, President of Daywind Music Group, expressed his deep sorrow and the significance of this final recording. "This final album featuring The Nelons was completed shortly before the plane crash that claimed the lives of Kelly Nelon Clark, Jason Clark, Amber Nelon Kistler, Nathan Kistler, Melodi Hodges, Larry Haynie, and Melissa Haynie. We are heartbroken and miss them dearly. The Nelons were immensely proud of this recording, produced by Jason Clark, Gordon Mote, Wayne Haun, and Bill Gaither, and featuring their friends Joseph Habedank, N.T. Martin, and the Gaither Vocal Band. Please let it minister to you as it has to us, as we face the loss of these amazingly talented people who lived what they sang about every day."
The album Loving You includes the following tracks:
1. That's What Love Is
2. Loving You
3. There's a Hole In The Heart
4. He Looked Beyond My Fault
5. Moses
6. God Won't
7. River of Peace (Rio de Paz)
8. Hand of an Unseen God
9. Three Nails Instead
10. We've Always Had a Song
11. There's a Hole in the Heart (Radio Edit)
The tragic plane crash occurred on Friday, July 26, 2024 as The Nelons were en route to join the Gaither Homecoming Cruise to Alaska.
The Nelons' legacy in Gospel music will continue to resonate through this album, a powerful testament to their faith, love, and the music that has touched countless lives.
