Frozen 2 Release Date: Disney Executives Still Working Over the Possibility but Hints Still Abound for Second Installment
Frozen was apparently a gold mine at the box office and the fans are already looking forward to a second installment. Disney may be yet to confirm whether a second movie is in the works, but we all know that the movie has real franchise potential if I may say so myself. The Disney CEO Bob Iger stated that Frozen has a lot of potential and that we would be seeing it in many more places that we do at the present. He was in fact proposing Frozen as a franchise saying that it will affect the bottom line of animation at the company for quite a while. This is a clear indication of an upcoming sequel to the movie; however, we do not have the plot, or the ETA.
The success of the film speaks for it including 1.2 billion dollars in revenue grossed both domestically and abroad. The movie has also amassed about 40 awards all over the world as well as 2 academy awards, and a golden globe. Needless to say, the movie has taken the world by storm and the fans want more. There was a picture recently posted by Kristen Anderson Lopez, one of the composers for 'Let it Go', showing singer Menzel for the popular Frozen song. Lopez captioned the picture with an implication that there was going to be a sequel for Frozen.
At the present, all conjecture regarding the plot of the movie would be just speculation, though there is a theory that the frozen sequel will dwell on the plot of the queen of ice and that she will find her true love. This could be in the form of Olaf after all, it is fitting because Anna found her soul mate as Kristoff the mountain man. Since, the story tends to find closure, and Disney producers state that the movie still leaves some questions unanswered, Elsa would be likely to find something of her own in the second installment of the movie.
