Seventh Day Slumber Reflects on the Devastating Effects of Alcoholism on New Single

Seventh Day Slumber will be releasing their brand new single "A Bullet Meant for Me" on July 7th. To pre-save/order the new single, click HERE The song is deeply personal to lead vocalist Joseph Rojas as he reflects upon his struggles with alcoholism.
Rojas reveals, "For a part of my life, I battled alcoholism. It became my armor, my shield and I felt numb to the pain. I was actually going to write about how my addiction was slowly killing me but things changed as my son sat down to help write.
"The song started from my perspective, I was convinced that the pain was mine alone, that I was the only one getting hit by the bullets because I was the one holding the bottle. But a comment from my son, Blaise, shifted everything. `Daddy, you might not have felt anything, but we felt every shot.' WOW, that hit me hard and I couldn't see the song the same way anymore."
The lyrics --- I dance through the night with my demons and sing to the soundtrack of giving in --- is talking about battling the fear of change, and the painful realization of the damage done. But the song is also a call for redemption, a plea to reconnect with Jesus and to feel again.
Rojas continues, "It would mean the world to us if you would pre-save `A Bullet Meant for Me'... This is more than a song to us, it's a beacon for those who've felt the sting of those unseen bullets and a testament to the healing power of God's redemption. It's never too late to put down the gun, face the damage done, and start the journey towards healing."
