Watch the Trailer for "The Secrets of Hillsong" From Vanity Fair and FX

FX has just released the trailer for their new docu-series The Secrets of Hillsong which is based on Vanity Fair's explosive journalists Alex French and Dan Adler. The Secrets of Hillsong goes beyond the sensational headlines and behind the velvet rope to examine the church's long pattern of covering up misconduct to protect itself.
The Secrets of Hillsong-which will feature tnterviews with former pastor Carl Lentz and his wife, Laura. This will be their first ever public interview since the couple were fired from the church due to Lentz adulterous affairs.Through conversations with former leaders, victims, and experts including ex-worship pastor Geoff Bullock, author Tanya Levin, congregants Ashley and Mary Jones and Janice Lagata, Frank Houston survivor David Cowdrey, onetime Hillsong NYC choir director Josh Canfield, and Australian senator David Shoebridge, the four-part investigative docuseries presents the most comprehensive study yet of an institution in crisis-and the faithful who are left to suffer the consequences.
"You do not want to be in this seat," Lentz says in the trailer. "I cannot stress it enough."
Joel Chiodi, an executive producer of the docuseries, said the film would tell a "well-rounded and definitive story of Hillsong."
"Because of these voices, along with unprecedented access to Carl and Laura Lentz, The Secrets of Hillsong offers new insights into how decades of scandal and corruption went unchecked within the church, and more importantly, at what it meant for the community left in their rubble," Chiodi said.
The Secrets of Hillsong premieres on FX on May 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT with two episodes, followed by two more episodes on May 26. All episodes will stream the next day on Hulu.
