Pastor Mike Jr. is Back with His Most Anticipated Album "Impossible"

Today, 11x Stellar Award Winner, Pastor Mike Jr., (affectionately known as PMJ) releases the highly anticipated new album, IMPOSSIBLE. IMPOSSIBLE marks the second release under the new partnership between Black Smoke Music Worldwide, Motown Gospel and Capitol CMG's Re:Think. IMPOSSIBLE is available now wherever music is sold and streamed.
Dubbed "The New King of Urban Inspiration," the brand-new album, IMPOSSIBLE, features 15 stand-out tracks of encouragement with Pastor Mike's signature sound, trap music cadences, and lyrical mastery. IMPOSSIBLE boasts standout collaborations with Tamela Mann, Kierra Sheard-Kelly, James Fortune, Adia, 1K Phew, Tvinci and Angela McClure.
The album's lead single and title track, "IMPOSSIBLE (feat. James Fortune)" is a song that has captured the hearts of many over the last three years during moments of spontaneous worship at his church, Rock City Church, in Birmingham, AL. "IMPOSSIBLE" featuring James Fortune is currently top ten on Billboard's Gospel Airplay chart.
"In my life, I've always wrestled with anxiety and sometimes depression, so I overthink and don't know how to live in the moment. Now, for the first time in my life, I am living in the moment and I'm grateful for all that God is doing - it's winning season!" shares Pastor Mike Jr.
Album track, "Blk Sheep Freestyle" was inspired by something Pastor Mike Jr. said during his acceptance speech at the 36th Annual Stellar Awards, the first time he was named Artist of the Year. Pastor Mike Jr., shared, "I always felt like the black sheep of my family. My sister graduated at the top of her class. My brother was the first player in 30 years to get a full football scholarship to Florida State. And I was the guy always getting into trouble." After being flooded with messages with people saying they felt the same way he turned the phrase, "black sheep" into something positive.
Fan favorite track, "Winning" leads the album, as a declaration for 2023. Pastor Mike Jr. aims to remind all that God can blow your mind. This song serves as a bold affirmation for years to come.
Motown Gospel Co-Executive Director, EJ Gaines, shares, "Pastor Mike, Jr. is one of few artists who can draw new fans to gospel music while fortifying the richness of the genre. His new album, IMPOSSIBLE, is the perfect blend of creativity and versatility- full of faith, inspiration, and feel-good music."
"Our partnership with Motown Gospel has been incredibly successful and we are on track for the biggest release from Pastor Mike Jr.," shares Kerry Douglas, Founder and CEO of Black Smoke Music Worldwide.
Pastor Mike Jr. has scored three consecutive number-one singles ("B!G," "I Got It," and "Amazing") on Billboard's National Gospel Airplay chart. His breakout single "B!G" was recognized as Billboard's #1 Gospel Airplay Song of 2020. He serves as the Senior Pastor of Rock City Church in Birmingham, AL.
