The mentalist season 7 premiere date: love triangles and action packed scenes galore in final installment
Apparently the Mentalist is not slated to return the screen until 2015 though the cast are to return to the set for filming before this month ends. According to show runner Bruno Heller, this will be the last season of the series and it should be a fire cracker of sorts, so expect action packed scenes. The plot for the first episodes has not yet been released but there are certain aspects that the audience should be aware of for the seventh season of the Mentalist. There will also be a bit of drama with this installment featuring love triangles between the main characters and other characters introduced to the plot.
Introducing Agent Michelle Vega, played by Josie Loren who will feature as the new kid on the block and the potential love triangle toward the budding romance that has just started between Patrick Jane and agent Teresa Lisbon. Agent Vega is reported to a student of combat and weaponry with high skill and the ability to keep cool even under the most stressful situations. The other love triangle that was develop focusing on Agent Lisbon, Patrick and Marcus in the last season dissipated when Teresa chose Patrick after he confessed his feelings for her, but now that Vega has entered the picture, this could be developing again because we have no way of knowing whether their relationship will remain professional.
There will be a lot of tension between Patrick and Vega because of their different approaches to investigations. Patrick has a very unorthodox way of dealing with situations while Agent Vega is strictly by the books and procedure, and of course trying to gain rank by impressing her superiors. However, fans of the show need not worry because show runner; Heller stated that the show wants to provide a proper closure for the romance between the two main characters, after everything they have been through. The premiere date for the season is not yet official but we do know that it will be next year.
