Mark Barlow Goes Jazzy with "Maybe Christmas Will Make It Right"

Singer and songwriter Mark Barlow releases his brand new single "Maybe Christmas Will Make It Right," a jazzy, timely tune that's perfect for the season. The song is the follow-up to Barlow's album Hymns and Soul which contains not only contains hymns, but it also includes (in Barlow's own words) "soulful lovesongs that have come out of my heart in the past year."
Of the new Christmas single, Barlow says, "In 2020 I wrote an 'all I want for pandemic is Christmas,' song. The past 2 years have left the same void: everyone is longing for yuletide cheer, family & world peace. This song delivers a bit of hope packaged with classic jazz drums & brushes, a saucy upright bass, a Michael Buble / Frank Sinatra type vocal delivery, and a beautiful string quartet. It's a message to the globe that maybe we ought to silence our debates for a moment & open our hearts to sing together on Christmas. Isn't it that time of year?"
Barlow was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Charis Bible College in 2014 then God called him to California to partner with Mission Isla Vista! He's been serving in IV since 2015 and stepped into being the worship pastor in early 2017. He's passionate about building a healthy, connected worship family, equipping sons & daughters to worship, & making honest/heartfelt music that grooves the soul.
