Production Team for "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" Revealed at Comic-Con 2013, and Rumors for a "Justice League" Sequel Film Confirmed
Many fans were disappointed when rumors of a "Justice League" movie due to come out in 2015 were debunked. Just when we thought Marvel and DC would unite and bring us characters such as Wonder Woman, Batman, and The Flash together for the first time, the rumors were scrapped in favor of "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice."
Comic-Con 2013 brought the news that Zack Snyder and David Goyer, the team who brought us "Man of Steel," would reunite for the new movie. Snyder will once again be directing, while Goyer acts as screenwriter. Since "Man of Steel" brought in over $660 million worldwide, it would seem foolish for the two not to be part of the new film.
We also know that "Batman Vs. Superman" will lead into a "Justice League" film, raising the hopes many fans formerly thought were crushed forever. Although no plot details have been revealed yet, the title of the film produces an interesting dilemma in and of itself. We can assume that the two will wind up as buddies by the end of the film, but the title can only lead us to believe that at least in the beginning and perhaps for the majority of the film, Batman and Superman will be enemies. We have yet to find out which supporting characters will make it into the film, and what their roles in the story will be.
"Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set to be released sometime in 2016.
