Bill Murray is Grumpy in 'St. Vincent' New Official Movie Trailer Co-Starring Melissa McCarthy, Watch Here (VIDEO)
We get our first look at Bill Murray in his new comedy/drama St. Vincent where he stars alongside Melissa McCarthy. You can watch the official trailer above.
Synopsis: Van Nuys (Murray) is a hedonistic malcontent with pretty much nothing going for him. Maggie (Melissa McCarthy) is his new neighbor, a single mother whose son Oliver gets bullied at school. Having learned that his bank account is overdrawn, de Van Nuys offers to watch Oliver after school for a paltry $11 an hour. The unlikely nanny takes his charge to the racetrack, teaches him how to defend himself, and introduces him to Daka (Naomi Watts), a "lady of the night" who, as she explains in a somewhat exaggerated Russian accent, "works for the man."
We can predict that the boy will soften Nuys heart over time and he will teach him some valuable life lessons in his own grumpy old man sort of way. Even if that is the case that is expected, it can still be a heart-warming movie and we can see if Bill Murray's comedic chops are still strong.
Co-star Melissa McCarthy is coming off of her surprising strong standing in the box office with her new comedy movie Tammy. After two weeks at the box office the movie had brought in almost $60 million and is projected to bring in $100 million by the end of its run. For a movie that only cost $20 million to make, that is a huge success.
St. Vincent is directed by Ted Melfi and put out by The Weinstein Company. The film is set to hit theaters on October 24th.
