Recently, Rhonda Vincent, The Grascals, Tina Adair and Larry Sparks have all dropped new singles. Here's our chance to catch up with the latest Bluegrass Gospel music releases.
1. Rhonda Vincent "There's a Record Book"
IBMA and SPBGMA and Grammy award winner Rhonda Vincent is back with her much anticipated new album Music is All I See. The final track, "There's A Record Book," is a beautiful ballad that speaks of the blessedness that when our names are written in the book of life, God never erases them out. With just Rhonda's acoustic guitar accompaniment and harmony vocals provided by The Isaacs (Ben Isaacs, Becky Isaacs Bowman, Sonya Isaacs Yeary), the song is truly an emotional and stirring performance.
2. The Grascals "Thankful"
John Bryan's heartfelt lead vocal get a workout on their brand new single "Thankful." The Grascals are proud of their brand new single.
"The lyrics to our new single are a powerful and wonderful reminder of just how much we all have to be thankful for," says Bryan, "and especially now more than ever! I think this song really touched all of our hearts, which made it an easy choice to record, and we're so glad that the writers - Daryl Mosley and Rick Lang - brought it to The Grascals. 'Thankful' makes you pause and reflect on the truly important things in life and where our blessings come from, and I hope all of the listeners will really focus on the words of this song. I know it has helped me keep a brighter disposition while not being able to travel and see my music family and friends - and you just can't help but smile when you hear it. The Grascals truly are 'Thankful'!"
3. Larry Sparks "Lord Show Me the Way"
From his brand new release Ministry In Song, Larry Sparks with a powerful prayer "Lord Show Me the Way." Sparks is, of course, no stranger to bluegrass. He came of age in the middle and late 1960s as a member of the Stanley Brothers and, immediately following that, as the lead singer in Ralph Stanley's Clinch Mountain Boys. Since 1970, he has led his own group, The Lonesome Ramblers. Longevity has its rewards. He is a two-time winner of the IBMA award for Male Vocalist of the Year and in 2015 he joined other legends of bluegrass as an inductee to the IBMA Hall of Fame.
4. Tina Adair "I Met the Man"
Tina Adair has recently signed a solo recording deal with EMG (Engelhardt Music Group). Her first single, "18 Wheels & a Dozen Roses" landed in the top 5 on the bluegrass charts. This is followed by her self-titled album. One of the highlights of this new album is her cover of William Tennyson's "I Met the Man." A dynamic slice of southern church music, this song speaks of how the word of God can change us and lead us to our Savior.
