Mandisa Reminds Us that God Can Create Beauty Out of "Ruins"

GRAMMY® winner and American Idol Season 5 finalist Mandisa returns with her brand new single "Ruins." On this uplifting single, Mandisa puts her voice of encouragement and truth to work helping people face lives' challenges all around the world. Listen now: https://mandisa.lnk.to/ruinsFP
"Ruins," which speaks about how God can create beauty out of ashes, is a song that is particularly dear to Mandisa. She reveals, "One of the things I love about worship music is that it is a reminder to my soul of who God is & what He can do. Coming out of a particularly difficult year, 'Ruins' is a reminder of how God can make beauty from ashes. That is a promise I am clinging to. God always rebuilds the broken things in our lives! Praying that as you listen to this song it brings healing to your broken places!"
"Ruins" is the follow-up single to last year's "It's Not Over" (featuring Jasmine Murray and Rita Springer). Both songs will be available on Mandisa's upcoming worship album, which will be released later this year.
Here are the lyrics:
[Verse 1]
I look around and all I see
Are burning buildings, barren trees
Hopelessness is starting to wreak havoc
But Son of Man, I know You see
The deepest depths unknown to me
You have planted seeds among the ashes
[Chorus]
You rebuild, You restore
All that's broken
From the ruins
You redeem, You return
All that's stolen
From Your children
That's what You do
That's what You do
[Verse 2]
So be still my anxious heart
All that's gone is never lost
Emmanuel is here and He is faithful
So I won't let my praises stop
I'll sing it from these rubbled rocks
'Cause I know You are good and You are able, whoa
[Chorus]
You rebuild, You rеstore
All that's broken
From the ruins
You rеdeem, You return
All that's stolen
From Your children
That's what You do
That's what You do
[Bridge]
You raise beauty from ashes
Yeah, that's what You do
You turn sorrow to gladness
Yeah, that's what You do
I give glory and honor
For all that You do
I will sing hallelujah
For all that You do
You raise beauty from ashes
Yeah, that's what You do
You turn sorrow to gladness
Yeah, that's what You do
I give glory and honor
For all that You do
I will sing hallelujah
For all that You do
For all that You do
