"Homeland" Season 4: New Trailer and Spoilers Released for the New Season, Which Premieres in October
The trailer for season four of "Homeland" has been released, and it is going to be quite a ride. Season three ended on a very unique note, and could possibly have served as the ending for the show with no one having any complaints. However, that is not to be. Rather, "Homeland" will be completely reinventing itself for season 4.
This time around, Carrie (played by Claire Danes), the incredibly talented but also unbalanced CIA agent, will be located in Pakistan, where new drama and new danger await. Fans of the show may welcome the change in scenery after the prolonged nature of Nicholas Brody's storyline.
The trailer reveals that Carrie will deal with both personal problems and work-related issues in the upcoming season; problems ranging from dealing with her young child and residing in "one of the most volatile and dangerous CIA stations in the Middle East." Although the trailer is very vague about what actually goes down in season four, fans can be assured that there will be much less "domestic drama" now that the Brody storyline is out of the picture.
There will be several additions to the cast this season, including Leila Robbins from "Bored to Death," Corey Stull from "House of Cards" and "The Strain," and the star of the film "Life of Pi," Suraj Sharma. F. Murray Abraham, who plays CIA vet Dar Adal on the show, will also be making a comeback for season four, which we can surmise from his appearance in the trailer.
You can watch the trailer here. "Homeland" season four premieres on Showtime on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 9 p.m.
