Bible Teacher Lisa Harper Celebrates the Success of Her Devotional Book "Life"

International speaker, author and Bible teacher Lisa Harper recently released her first-ever devotional "Life: An Obsessively Grateful, Undone by Jesus, Genuinely Happy, and Not Faking It Through the Hard Stuff Kind of 100-Day Devotional" (February 9, 2021, B&H Publishing).
The devotional debuted at No. 24 on the Publisher's Weekly Bestseller List for Hardcover Nonfiction Frontlist for the week of February 22, 2021. Harper is in good company on the list, which also features former president Barack Obama, Matthew McConaughey, James Patterson, Joanna Gaines, Lysa TerKeurst and many others.
In "Life," Harper gives readers a gut-level exploration of pertinent and redemptive moments in Scripture that prove God's grace is more than sufficient for both the massive and the minuscule things of life.
"Life" was also selected for in-store placement and special promotional features in Target, Walmart, Barnes & Noble and Books-a-Million, in addition to all top online retailers. Harper has been interviewed on several top podcasts and media outlets to talk about the book, including Dream Big with Bob Goff, The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey, Live Original with Sadie Robertson, Jesus Calling, Rhythms for Life with Gabe and Rebekah Lyons, Life Today, Trinity Broadcasting Network's Praise!, and many others.
"Our whole team here at B&H is thrilled for Lisa," said Ashley Gorman, associate publisher at B&H. "Her signature blend of fun relatability, side-splitting humor and deep love for the Bible shines through on every page of this devotional, and we are grateful it is impacting so many lives for the Kingdom."
Harper is internationally-known as an engaging, hilarious communicator as well as an authentic and substantive Bible teacher that many enjoy hearing in person or on countless TV and radio platforms. She holds a Master of Theological Studies from Covenant Seminary and a doctorate-in-progress at Denver Seminary. She's been in vocational ministry for 30 years and has written 19 books and Bible study curricula but says her greatest accomplishment by far is becoming Missy's (her adopted daughter from Haiti) mama.
Karen G wrote in her Amazon review, "'LIFE' is a sit down with your best friend, get real and let it all out kind of devotional. This book is for those days when you just don't feel perfect, but need someone to remind you that God loves us no matter our attitude, and He can make it better if we stop and look around. A great reminder that He enjoys us being happy and also to be real with Him."
Lesleijune wrote in her Amazon review, "...Each devotion is accessible, applicable, thought-provoking, and gives the chance to have a stronger relationship with Christ. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to strengthen their relationship with Christ."
Harper is represented by Lisa Jackson, executive vice president of Alive Literary Agency.
