Matthew West Scores His 10th No. 1 Hit & Kicks Off Nationwide Prayer Event

Matthew West scores his 10th #1 hit this week with "Truth Be Told." This week "Truth" rises from 2 to 1 on Billboard's Christian Airplay chart. Now West ties with Chris Tomlin and Jeremy Camp for the third-most no. 1s in the chart's history, which dates back to 2003. MercyMe leads with 17 #1s followed by Casting Crowns who has 11 #1s.
Meanwhile,West has been selected to launch the national event 30 Days of Cancer Prayer on Sunday, January 31st. Mr. West will serve as a Prayer Warrior and will lead people nationwide in praying over Cancer Survivors. He invites everyone to join him in giving God thanks for all that he has done in survivors' lives and in praying for all those who are still battling.
Participants to 30 Days of Cancer Prayer receive daily cancer prayer videos from prominent Christians by phone, email or Facebook. The virtual aspect of the event enables individuals both nationally and internationally to join together in cancer prayer.
"We thank God for the reminder that in this uncertain time and uncertain world we can have certainty in knowing that He is God and He is in control" Mr. West states. "Each cancer survivor story shines as a beacon of light and hope."
