Alisha Quinonez Releases Debut Spanish Single, "Mi Alma"

Alisha Quinonez, who has straddled the Hispanic and American Christian music world for the past 20 years, announces the release of her debut single, "Mi Alma," the first of seven new songs set to release in 2021. "Mi Alma" was produced by Colton Price and Jerricho Scroggins and written by Hugo Quinonez (Alisha's husband).
Alisha's music reaches for a deeper intimacy with God and a community of transparent believers. And this song perfectly sets the tone for the theme of the other upcoming releases - all of which have a spirit of faith and thanksgiving. We need to thank God in everything (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) and we need a spirit of faith to thank God for the things we have yet to see.
Hugo Quinonez wrote "Mi Alma" while worshipping in the car! Not only is this song written by Hugo, but all the following songs scheduled to release in 2021 as well. Alisha said of her husband, "He is a person of great faith in the things to come. His optimistic attitude towards life and the future has helped me to change some of my critical thoughts into praise for what God will do in my future (Romans 8:28). Yes, we are thanking God for all He's done in our lives so far, which is nothing short of amazing; but we are also thanking Him for what is to come. As His followers, we know we will witness nothing short of miracle after miracle!"
This song is an outpouring of thankfulness for all God has done and continues to do in our lives. Many times, we want to thank God for all the things He is doing in and around us, but we can't find the words. Hopefully, this song will put words of praise in others' mouths so that they can pour out their hearts to God.
Producer, Colton Price, said, "It has been an incredible journey working with Alisha and Hugo. Their charismatic personalities and humble spirits have made working on this project a true joy. As a producer my job is much more enjoyable when an artist knows exactly what they are trying to communicate with their music. From the beginning, Alisha has held such a clear and compelling vision for the people she is trying to reach and for the type of response she wants to illicit with her music. As a result, the productions naturally and effortlessly came together around these songs. Alisha's powerhouse vocals combined with Hugo's honest and accessible songwriting create a captivating musical duo ready to bring fresh perspective to the Hispanic Christian market."

She lives in the Washington D.C. area; not in the city, but on a farm with her family!
