Luke Wareham and Rachel Mason Release New Single "Glimpse"
"Glimpse" is the latest song to be released by Luke Wareham and Rachel Mason, two worship leaders and songwriters based in the South West of England. The song was produced by brothers Tim and Jonny Stephenson and is to be released on November 20, 2020.
Luke and Rachel released their first E,P Whisper, in March this year with the song "Whisper" making it to number 11 in the UK Christian music charts. Their lockdown worship anthem 'I will not fear' was released in September. They have a passion for writing songs that lead people into the presence of God, that help people fix their eyes on Jesus and to experience afresh the healing power of the Holy Spirit. Their prayer is that the songs they write will bring hope to a broken world, speaking prophetically the truth of Jesus into everyday life situations. They regularly lead worship in the local church and at various events around the UK.
"Glimpse" is based on Psalm 34. Luke wrote the song with his friends Matt Caddick and Rachel Mason whilst reflecting on the Psalm. Luke says that David's prayer in this Psalm has become his prayer at this time as we go into a second lockdown. David writes 'I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles'.
Luke and Rachel's prayer is that the song would speak into people's lives and help them to encounter the Lord Jesus. The bridge of the song proclaims 'What else can I do but bow and worship you? All my life I live in honour of my King' and their hope is that as people worship through this song a touch from Jesus would change people's mindsets at this tough time. Luke and Rachel say that 'whether it's broken relationships, mental health issues or fear of the future, as we see Jesus our worry can be turned into worship and this shapes how that we think, interpret and view what is happening in the world. A glimpse of Jesus changes everything!'
"Glimpse" will be available to stream and download on all music platforms (November 20, 2020) and a new lyric video will be on their YouTube channel.
